Alanah Reuter
Texas born and raised, Alanah Reuter made her way to Pensacola in 2012 to student assist coach the UWF Volleyball Argonauts after several years of coaching club in Houston. For two years, Alanah worked under Melissa Wolter and Pati Gandolfo being a part of the Argonauts fourth and fifth consecutive Gulf South conference championships, while also coaching club ball. Knowing her heart lied with coaching the middle and high school aged athletes, Alanah finished her bachelor's degree in Physical Education-Teacher Education at UWF while coaching at Pace High School, and in 2015, Alanah started Coastal Crush Volleyball Club. After her first year, she branched the club to Santa Rosa Beach, FL and managed both locations while teaching Physical Education, head coaching middle school volleyball and basketball at Emerald Coast Middle School, and assisting volleyball at South Walton High School. The ECMS volleyball and basketball team won their conference championship her first year. The South Walton Seahawks also won their district championship that year. Since beginning coaching in 2009, Alanah has assistant coached eight indoor volleyball teams and has head coached 19 indoor teams and five seasons of beach volleyball. She has been a part of five district and conference championships and has qualified for USAV Junior Nationals twice in the LoneStar region in Texas.
Although she continues to run the beach volleyball program with Coastal Crush and assists the indoor teams when needed, Alanah has shifted gears to the Administrative side of club volleyball and thoroughly enjoys her role behind the scenes but then getting to be the "fun aunt" when jumping in for surprise visits/coaching with the players.
"This club is one of my greatest blessings. Getting to help these kids grow in the sport that I love while also watching them blossom into respected young adults is such an honor."
